About Me

Born and raised in Ecuador as an MK (missionary kid), and with 10 years as an adult missionary, I’ve spent more than 20 years in Spanish-speaking countries. With a B.A. from Bryan College in Dayton, TN, and an M.A. from Middle Tennessee State University, my teaching certification is in secondary English, but over the years, I’ve taught nearly every subject on every grade level.  Currently I teach elementary Spanish and Computers at Donelson Christian Academy in Nashville, TN

Our church home is Christian Believers in Donelson. Over the years, I’ve worked in several areas of youth ministry, including teaching, retreats, music, and youth leadership. Our daughter Calista is studying at Trevecca Nazarene University.   Our oldest son Steven is at Martin Methodist College, and our other two sons, Justin and Donny, are at DCA.  Justin was born in Cameroon, and Donny in Guatemala.

One of David’s favorite pastimes growing up on the mission field was climbing mountains.  Here on Mexico’s highest peak.
